Capability Accumulation and Conditional Convergence: Towards a Dynamic Theory of Economic Complexity

We develop a dynamic model of economic complexity that endogenously generates a transition between unconditional and conditional convergence. In this model, convergence turns conditional as the capability intensity of activities rises.
